Website Design Contest


13th CCS Day
Theme: "Embracing and Shaping the Millennial Mindset”

Eligibility: This competition is open to all CCS students. It can be an individual work or a maximum of three members in a team.

Competition Requirement: The requirement of the competition is to produce Home Page of a website based on the competition theme. Each team can do all the work of creating the web page using ANY available web development tools.

Limit: Only one (1) submission per team will be judged. If multiple submissions from the same team are received, only the last submission will be judged.

Timing: The Contest begins on January 23, 2017,  and ends on February 7, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. (the "Contest Period").

Cheating: The emphasis of the competition is to create an original website. Therefore, any team found to be cheating, interfering with another team, or interfering with the competition in any form, will be punished with severe point deduction or be immediately disqualified from the competition.

Prohibited Content: Each website must not contain material deemed objectionable to School (e.g. no pornography, no profanity, nothing offensive to a person’s gender, ethnicity, or religious beliefs, no references to alcohol, tobacco, or drugs).

Standards Compliance: Web page must employ standards-based web design with well-formed HTML and CSS.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): Cascading Style Sheets must either be created from scratch or by using one of the permitted web development software programs. School and CCS Logos must be included on your web page

Templates: Templates must be created using any of the following methods:
1.  From scratch.
2. From creating custom template files with editable and non-editable zones.
 3. Use of any built-in template, template wizard, or template from the internet or any other source is not permitted and is considered cheating.
Submission of Work: Each team must submit their work on a USB Flash Drives with the following items.
 1. Team members name in a text document
 2. A folder that contains the final entry
 3. Any special instruction to execute the work (optional)
 4. Submit your entry personally to:

Criteria: Entries will be judged and shall be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Design (40%): Design doesn't have to be cutting edge and trendy but of high quality, appropriate, and relevant for the audience and the message it is supporting.

Site Theme or Personality (20%): Attract attention to what message you want to say with color, graphic, photo, or animation.

Content(20%): This is not limited to copy but can encompass music, sound, animation or video, all of which should be engaging, relevant and appropriate for its audience.

Ease of Use (20%): Technology used must work well, with quick page load times, be free of broken links and work on all browsers.
Total: 100%


Awarding of winners shall be given during the 13th CCS Day Celebration ( February 9, 2017, @ Robinsons Mall, Roxas City)
